Learn Sculpture!I was discussing the tools called “rifflers” in this video. These are great for smoothing out the basic forms. It gives me a good sense of the volume and relationships of shapes to one another. Here is a source I was able to find that are closest to the ones I use:

Besides playing guitar and singing, I love art, science, and history. I attended Tyler School of Art (Temple University) in the 1970s, and then spent many years as a prototype sculptor for the fine gift industry. Recently I went back to college and graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts from Northern Arizona University. Now I'm teaching art and sharing music, with the goal to inspire others to recognize their talents and realize their dreams.
